NOTE: We are in the process of moving the classes on a new website, with a better structure and multiple functionality. You will be able to have access to online written material, videos, tests and many more. Once the development of the new website will be achieved, the user database will be moved there. You will be notified by e-mail of the new address as well as of the credentials you will need in order to log in to the new website. Until then, a comment feature is enabled, so you can post your questions from now on directly on the page of the class, not having to go necessarily to the discussion board in order to discuss the classes. Of course, you need to be logged in in order to do that.
Welcome to the Sage Grove Coven's free online classes. These classes will take you through the basics of the Old Ways witchcraft of Eastern and South-Eastern Europe as it has been transmitted through generations and is still practised nowadays in that area of the world. We do add from time to time classes related to energy work, mythology and other subjects, if we receive feed-back from students that it is a desired subject of study. You need to be aware that what is understood by "basics" is quite extensive. We are trying to keep these classes as un-biased spiritually as possible, and focus mainly on witchcraft. We do NOT teach the spirituality of the Eastern Europe Old Ways, neither do we prozelitize or do recruiting for our coven. Be aware that if after reading ourcoven's website and laws you decide that you want to become one of our dedicated for initiation, the requirements of study, knowledge and moral fiber are quite hard and not everybody makes it.The only reason these classes were initiated is to pass on the Old Ways witchcraft knowledge unaltered for the ones who want to learn it, but due to distance and financial reasons are unable to attend the live classes. In order to be able to view the Live Online Classes as well as the recordings of the past classes, you need to register. To do that, please use the "Create an account" button on the left-hand side menu. After registering, you will receive an e-mail asking you to click the link to activate your account. This is done in order to prevent internet bots and spam. Once you click on the link and activate your account, you can login and watch the classes. Make sure the email address your register with is a valid one, otherwise you will not receive the activation email and you will not be able to login. Repeated attempts to register with a non-valid email address will bring an IP ban. Also, once you register, please use the link "Contact Us" to send an e-mail with a short presentation of yourself: who you are, where are you located, how did you find out about our classes, what is your path, and how old you are (this last one is because legally we are not allowed to teach minors). Make sure that you send your self-introduction e-mail within three days from registration, otherwise your account will be deleted. Following the menu link "Live Broadcast" you will be able to watch the Sunday class. As the live broadcast is only on Sundays at 5:00 pm CDT (unless otherwise posted) - when there is nothing broadcasted, you will only see a slideshow. When the live broadcast starts, you will be asked for a password. The password will be provided in the chatbox (viewable by registered members only as well). Following the menu link "Previous Classes" you will be able to watch the recordings of the previous classes. Both these links are visible only for registered members. Once you register and start following the curricula, you can discuss the classes on the Discussion Board or directly in the newly enable comments feature on the page of each class. From time to time homework assignments are given. They are posted on the same page where the recording of the respective class is located. Usually the assignments are to be e-mailed before noon of the day of the next class. Please do mention if you agree for your assignment to be discussed freely in the class or you prefer to have it discussed in a private e-mail. During the class, please feel free to ask your questions in the chat box on the left-hand side (the chat box is viewable only by registered members who are logged in). Someone will be close to the monitor in order to read your question. Thank you, and welcome.
